Thank you for visiting the Lake Travis
Democratic Club Website.
The Lake Travis Democratic
Club is a friendly, energetic organization that meets once a month,
the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Lakeway Activity Center in
Lakeway. Our meetings begin with a wine and cheese social from 6:30
to 7:00, and the program begins at 7:00pm. There are speakers,
elected officials, volunteer projects, timely topic discussions and
lively conversation. The Lake Travis Democratic Club also
participates in local civic activities as well as Travis County
Democratic Party activities.
We are an open and active club.
Besides our monthly meetings, we have several special events and
holiday gatherings throughout the year, all which include an array of
fabulous speakers and discussion. The Lake Travis
DemocraticClub is made up of 9 precincts
from Bee Cave and Spicewood to Hudson Bend and Lake Wind and
including Lakeway. As we are seeing with the changing demographics
of the area, more and more democratic votes are being cast. And it
is our club’s goal to attract, encourage and support those who are
choosing to vote Democratic.
The 2012 election year
will be full of Democratic activities including voter registration,
candidate forums, door walking, canvassing voters and Election Day
get-out–the-vote. With the redistricting boundaries not yet
determined, the primary date is still unknown. We are preparing
voters for the Democratic Primary by introducing Primary Candidates
in each of the contested races. The value of electing the best
candidate going into the General Election in November is of vital
importance.
Whether you are new to the
area, or have lived here for a while, we would like to encourage you
to come and join us at our monthly meetings. So, all of us with the
Lake Travis Democratic Club invite you to become a part of our lively
and ever growing group.
We hope to see you on the
2nd Tuesday of the
month, 6:30 social, 7:00 meeting, at the Lakeway Activity Center.
Democratically yours,
Judy Donohue
President, Lake Travis Democrats
